Set up an IPTV subscription on Samsung and LG TVs

Samsung TVs run Tizen and LG TVs run webOS. Both are closed systems that only install apps from their own store, so the most important step comes before you subscribe: confirming a suitable player exists for your model.

Before you subscribe

Send support your TV model, its year and its system. Availability differs between models and between country stores, and older sets may not have an up-to-date player.

Check that one of the supported players (listed further down this page) is in the store on your TV, and ask whether it charges a separate fee.

If no player exists for your set, a small streaming box on an HDMI port is the practical answer and works with almost any screen.

How activation works here

On Samsung and LG activation is by MAC address: you install one of the supported players from the TV store, and on first open it shows a MAC address and a device key.

Photograph the screen and send it to us on WhatsApp with the player name, and we attach your subscription to the device with nothing to type on the remote. The full steps are in the section further down this page.

After activation let the list finish loading, then try a live channel and a title from the library.

Common problems on smart TVs

  • The player is not in the store: usually the model or the country store, not the subscription
  • The TV feels slow: close other apps and restart it from the mains, not only with the remote
  • It only stutters at certain times: try a lower quality and test the connection from your phone at the same moment

Samsung, LG and Apple — supported players

These screens only install apps from their own store, so the Android codes above do not apply. Use one of these players instead — no typing with the remote, activation is by MAC.

Activation by MAC, step by step

  1. Open the app store on the TVPress Home on the remote and go to Apps (Smart Hub on older Samsung models, the LG Content Store on LG, the App Store on Apple devices).
  2. Install one of the players belowInstall whichever is available for your model and country. The first one you find is enough — they all work the same way.
  3. Open it and photograph the MACOn first open the player shows a MAC address and a device key. Take a photo of the screen with your phone — easier than copying the characters.
  4. Send the photo on WhatsAppSend it with the player's name. Support attaches your subscription to that device and tells you when it is done.
  5. Reopen the player and testReopen it (or press Reload), wait for the channels to load, then play two channels from two different categories.

Do not close or reinstall the player after taking the photo — reinstalling can change the key. If you change the TV or reinstall, send the new MAC.

These are third-party players. Availability depends on your TV's maker and your country, they are not Delta's apps, and the plan does not include their licences — some charge their own fee after a trial.

Frequently asked questions

Do all Samsung and LG TVs support it?

That cannot be promised for every model. Availability depends on the model, its year and the country store, which is why support should confirm before you subscribe.

What if there is no player for my TV?

A small streaming box on an HDMI port usually solves it and works with any screen that has that port.

Is the player free?

On some systems the player charges a fee separate from the subscription. Confirm with support before paying.

Not sure which plan or player suits your device? Send us the model on WhatsApp and we will confirm it before you pay.
